Mira Khleif

Mira Khleif is a Projects Architect working for Maisam Architects & Engineers since 2010. She received her ‘M-Arch’ Masters in Architecture degree from the University of East London, UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Glamorgan University, Wales. Mira works on multifaceted projects ranging from urban planning to landmark cultural projects as well as interior design office and residential design projects. Mira’s strength lies in the philosophy and conceptual phase of a project, creating unique designs that are personalized to each project/client. Her passion towards architecture that tells a story has led her works to be included as part of the maisam projects that have been entered into worldwide competitions, and received international recognition. Such awards include the WAF- World Architect Festival Award, The Arabian Property Award and the WOW- Winner of Winner Award. Mira also contributed as a co- writer of the book: maisam architects and engineers- Selected Projects. Mira has been part of the growing maisam Abu Dhabi family since 2014 and has since broadened her experience through projects in the UAE and the Gulf. 

In addition to practicing architecture, Mira spends a lot of her time behind the lens. She uses photography, her education and conceptual skills to capture moments, spaces and emotions, which convey ideas through a photographic artistic image. Mira is a member of Darat Al Tasweer organization in Amman, Jordan. What initially started as a hobby turned very quickly into a semiprofessional artistic expression. Mira competed on an international level and her work was recognized in 2015 and 2014 for the General Nature Category and in 2013 for the Local Life Category in Turkey. Her work has since been exhibited in several art galleries in the Kingdom.

Mira also played for the Jordanian woman’s basketball team and competed in both national and international levels. Growing up, Mira was also a ballet dancer practicing for 9 years. 

Her latest work includes a photography book narrating her personal visual experience within the French nature entitled ‘A walk through Fontainebleau Forest; a plethora of hidden gems‘.
