Strategically located at the heart of the Jordan Valley, between the east and west banks of the Jordan river, The Dead Sea shores and surface is at 422 meters below sea level, the lowest elevation on the Earth’s surface on dry land. An area blessed with a rich biblical and religious history, a magnificent natural context, and a unique healing environment. Three main Rifts (wadis) along the eastern shores of the Dead Sea are the nodes of experience and development, with the possibilities of the environmental development upstream the Rifts. These include Wadi Al Mujib, Wadi Al-Zarqa-Ma’in, and Wadi Mukharis. 

Within this context and at an exquisite setting where Wadi Mukharis meets the salty waters of the Dead Sea, the Dead Sea Conference Center is Located. An Icon of peace and prosperity, bridging the rift between nations  and cultures, a true state of the art conferencing facility that is to provide a permanent prestigious venue to accommodate the World Economic Forum, an annual event held each May, and to house other cultural and political events.

With a vision to capture the character, identity and spirit of Jordan in a built environment encompassing earth formations (the rift), a tensile structure (the tent covering the conference halls) and the village formations (the business park), the journey into the conference center begins with a rift in the earth creating a descending pathway. This pathway transforms itself into a park-like space encompassing courtyards, trees and streams to create the ideal setting for a business park of internet lounges, media access and meeting places. 

This Development comprises a main conferencing hall with an area of 3’500 m², a secondary conferencing hall with an area of 1’200 m²,  a Royal/VIP wing with an area of 1’250  m²,  a business center with an area of 2’000 m² all served by 7’000 m² of amenities and services.
