Architect Meisa Participation in Cartier Awards_2012

Architect Meisa Batayneh took part in the jury representing Middle East and North Africa at the Cartier Awards Ceremony on the evening of October 11, 2012, at the Annual Global Meeting of the Women’s Forum in Deauville, France, alongside with Hanan Saab-Lebanon (Founder and managing director of Pharmamed), Miriem Bensalah-Morocco (CEO of Holmarcom Group) and Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi-UAE ( Minister for foreign trade).

The Jury is composed of 30 high-profile individuals who are chosen on the basis of their entrepreneurial experience, their business achievements and their commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs. The Jury’s involvement is long-term and voluntary.

The Cartier Women's Initiative Awards are an international business plan competition created in 2006 by Cartier, the Women's Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD business school to identify, support and encourage projects by women entrepreneurs ,and aims to encourage the most vulnerable category of entrepreneurs in their most vulnerable phase: women entrepreneurs starting up. Since their inception in 2006, they have accompanied over 75 promising female business-owners and recognized 20 Laureates.
