The Mina Zayed Master Plan for Aqaba is a vision grounded in both the timeless natural beauty of Jordan’s southern port city and the aspirations of its people.

Aqaba’s unique geography—where mountains and sea converge—defines the landscape, creating a breathtaking southern gateway to Jordan. Rather than competing with this dramatic backdrop, the design seeks to embrace it, using the natural surroundings as an inspiring canvas to reflect the essence of Aqaba and the spirit of its people.

Spanning over 3,200,000 square meters of prime waterfront land and extending up to the eastern mountains, the Marsa Zayed development is positioned to become one of Jordan’s largest urban and real estate projects. The 3,000 meters of coastline forms a connection between the city’s vibrant heart and the calm waters of the Red Sea, inviting locals and visitors alike to experience Jordan from the shore.

The plan envisions Marsa Zayed as a seamless extension of Aqaba—its new downtown that serves both as an international gateway and a local gathering place. This is more than a development; it’s a new center for Aqaba, offering a balance of contemporary urban life and Jordanian heritage. Here, residential areas, hotels, retail spaces, and public realms intertwine to create an urban fabric that reflects the warmth and resilience of Aqaba’s people.

In addition to creating a dynamic space for tourism, Marsa Zayed prioritizes the local community, providing job opportunities, fostering growth, and enhancing quality of life. The project is an invitation to experience Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, framed by the power of its landscapes, and designed to sustain and uplift Aqaba’s future. This master plan is a living tribute to the evolving identity of Jordan—grounded in history, emboldened by vision, and shaped by the dreams of its people.

A vibrant, sustainable community that celebrates the values and spirit of the people of Aqaba.
